Katie's Bridal Portraits {Miles of Smiles Photography by Sarah Jordan}
Recently, I got to do something a little out of the baby and family norm that I usually photograph. I was asked to do sweet Katie's Bridal Portraits, and absolutely love how they turned out!
Katie and I go waaaaaaay back. She was an 18 year old freshman at UT, and I was 25 and about a year into my Fitness/Wellness Coordinator position at the University of Texas (Division of Recreational Sports). I was teaching an "Instructor Training Series" to gals who wanted to become fitness instructors, and "Sunshine Katie" was my favorite student in that class. ALWAYS positive, always smiling, always working hard and adding sunshine to people's lives around her. Well, needless to say she was a rock star, got hired to teach for me at UT, and eventually even became my Program Assistant and covered for me when I was out on my maternity leave when baby Miles was born way back when. She has remained a dear, sweet friend, and I just adore her. So - when she asked me to do these portraits for her, of course I jumped in and said "Yes!"
I love how they turned out. We even got to do the session at the place that my husband and I got married at almost 10 years ago. The Vista on Seward Hill is an absolutely gorgeous venue. And guess who put together the bouquet of roses in about 5 minutes before our session? Yours truly. #multitasker!
Enjoy a peek into our Bridal Portrait Session.
And believe it or not, but she was an even MORE beautiful bride the day of her actual wedding. My kids danced like crazy and we had a blast celebrating Katie and her new husband.
